Kamchatka is a dream that needs to be realized!
Our trip includes all the fun that is in this region. We will climb on active volcanoes, see their craters and beautiful lakes, swim in hot springs, spend a few days in a reserved place where salmon swim and where hundreds of brown bears live. We will see how they fish, as well as fish themselves. Let’s go out into the Pacific Ocean, see bird bazaars, sealings and, if we’re lucky, killer whales and whales.
In 10 days in Kamchatka we will see all its treasures. The main program is very rich. But for those who want more, we have prepared additional options that will make your journey even more vivid and unforgettable. So, we leave Moscow on July 15, 2020.
Immediately upon arrival we will meet the home volcanoes of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Avachinsky, Koryaksky and Kozelsky. In clear weather they are so beautiful that your hand will reach for the camera already on the plane ladder. After receiving the luggage, we will go to the city, having come on the way to the monument “Here begins Russia” – the most famous monument of the city. Then we will stay in a comfortable hotel overlooking the beautiful Avachin Bay, we will relax and prepare for a grand trip. If you wish, you can go for a walk in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, visit the “Vulcanarium” or hot springs.
Today we have a meeting with the Pacific Ocean. We will go to one of the most colorful and picturesque places of Kamchatka – The Russian Bay. We will slowly swim and admire the sea expanses, rocks and sea creatures. We will begin our journey from Avachin Bay, decorated with rocky cliffs, then on the way out into the ocean we will meet “Three Brothers”, look at the island of Starichkov, where thousands of seabirds form loud bird bazaars. And, if we are lucky, we will meet some of the largest inhabitants of the seas and oceans – whales and killer whales. We’ll spend the whole day on the ship. The Pacific ocean will surprise us with its wealth and generosity. We will catch a lot of different fish, cook from it the eye, and try the main character of the local waters – Kamchatka crab!
Today we will sit on huge jeeps and go to see the volcanoes of the eastern part of Kamchatka. The first stop at the Vilyu volcano. This extinct volcano will delight you with its beauty and size. Then we will make our way to the very foot of the volcano Gorely, walk right on the frozen lava. Overcoming the height difference of 900 meters, we will see a stunning view of the surroundings and craters of the Fire, and there are 11 of them at this volcano! We will also visit blue lake. In the evening we will set up camp and spend the night in tents.
Today we are waiting for a very simple ascent to the very beautiful active volcano Mutnovsky. Climbing to the very top of it, we will feel his vitality and power. One part of the wall of the crater is destroyed, so we can look into the vent and see the same “cloud factory”, namely, active fumaroles and mud siphons. After lunch we will walk to the ice cave. Her incredible beauty will be remembered for a long time. In the evening we will return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Today we will have a good night’s sleep, have breakfast and go for a walk on the Halaktyr beach. There we will feel all the power of the waters of the Pacific Ocean, admire the vast expanses, dry up the delicious sea air and walk on the purest black sand. After we will go deep into the peninsula, we will reach the village of Milkkovo. We’ll spend the night at the hotel.
Today we will sit in a helicopter that will take us to a unique place, which can be visited by no more than 30 tourists a day. We will live next to a lake in a valley surrounded by high mountains and fast rivers. The next few days will pass without the Internet in full fusion with nature. Today we will have the opportunity to see the owner of the Kamchatka forests. Being in a safe place, we can watch brown bears hunt fish going to spawn. In the evening we bathe in the healing waters of hot springs.
On this day we will have fishing and contemplation. In the morning we will watch the bears, who catch the seal, and then, when the shaggy hunters go to daysleep, we will go fishing. The lake is one of the largest spawning grounds of Kamchatka. We will be able to catch and taste the tastiest and freshest fish. The rest of the time will spend, walking around the base with the gamekeeper and bathing in hot springs.
On this day we will once again look at the bears and go on a helicopter ride, see the spurs of the volcano Alnay and the frozen lava flows of the volcano Cesconja. Today we return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Moving by car will take 6-7 hours. On the way we will have lunch in the village of Milkkovo, and we will go to Malkin’s natural hot springs, swim in puddles – baths.
This day we leave free in case of bad weather. If everything will be according to plan you can either relax and walk around Petropavlovsk, or fly by helicopter to the Valley of Geysers, or go to Lake Tolmacheva.
If you choose the main program, on this day we will take you to the fish market to buy the freshest marine delicacies – squid, Kamchatka crabs and red caviar – at the most reasonable prices. And then to the airport.
For those who love mountains, rocks and alien landscapes, be sure to extend your journey and go with us to Tolbachik. Eruptions of 1975 and 2012 turned this place into a black-and-red wasteland, mesmerizing in its beauty and grandeur.
Not everyone decides to go to Tolbachik. The road there is not easy, but we will make it as comfortable as possible. From Kozyrevsk, where we will fly from the bear lake, we will be picked up by jeeps and in 4 hours we will be in the Dead Forest. In 1975, a cloud of hot gas covered the area in a matter of seconds and destroyed all life. Here we will be placed in Glemping, have dinner and prepare for tomorrow’s expedition to another planet.
After breakfast we will move to the foot of the beautiful volcanic massif, which formed volcanoes Sharp and Flat Tolbachik. This day we will spend, examining the consequences of its eruptions of 2013, extensive fresh, and even hot lava flows, caves – lava- lava, stone statues and piles of frozen lava. Let’s fry bananas in chocolate on hot cracks, and experienced guides will tell us the history of these volcanoes and show the most impressive places.
Today, ours is waiting for the ascent to small volcanoes – Tolbachin cone. Moving by car will take 8-10 hours.
